Gonski funding is making a real difference to ACT schools but under Malcolm Turnbull’s plan to cut Gonski funding our schools will lose $25 million in 2018 and 2019 alone.
That funding could be used to provide more one-to-one support, smaller classes and extra programs for students who need them.
Please join other Gonski supporters in phoning Chief Minister Barr on Wednesday, November 23rd, to tell him how important properly funding our schools is for you.
The Barr Government has publicly supported Gonski funding but we need to make sure they fight against Turnbull’s cuts AND commit to their share of the full six years of Gonski.
They need to hear from you that our schools and our students matter.
Politicians take notice when members of the public call, and every call will make a difference.
You don’t need to be a school funding expert. You just need to take a few minutes to tell your story, why Gonski is important to you, and let the Chief Minister know you expect the Barr Government to continue to stand up for our schools.
Click the button below to sign up, and prior to November 23rd we’ll send you details of how to call and some tips on what to say.
