Victoria's public schools get the lowest per student funding in the nation.
That's why we need you to let the Andrews Government know that we need the full six years of needs-based Gonski funding.
Victorian public school students have missed out on Gonski funding due to the previous Liberal Government's failure to pass extra funding on to schools.
The Andrews Government made a commitment to delivering the missing Gonski funding this year, and in 2016 and 2017.
That is a good start but we need them to honour the final 2 years of the Gonski agreement - right through to 2019.
If they don't, too many schools won't get close to meeting minimum resources standards identified by the Gonski review and too many students will miss out.
We want you to call your local Victorian Labor MP on Thursday May 28th, Public Education Day, and tell them that you welcome their commitment to fund Gonski this year and over the next 2 years, but that their Government must commit to the final 2 years of needs-based funding which is so essential for public school students.
You don't need to be an expert, you just need to take a few minutes to tell your story and let politicians know you care about public education, and that you expect them to deliver.
Click on the button below to sign-up, and prior to the day we'll send you details of who to call and some tips on what to say.
