This year National Gonski Week will be held between October 26 and November 1.
It is a great opportunity to get active in the campaign and help secure the resources that will improve the education children receive across Australia.
Where Gonski funding is going into schools it is making a huge difference.
But too many schools are still not receiving the funding they need to lift the achievement levels of students and support those who require additional assistance.
With a new Prime Minister we have a chance to convince the Federal Coalition to abandon their plan to get rid of Gonski and stop the full delivery of this vital needs-based funding.
Here are some things that you can do in Gonski week:
Let Malcolm Turnbull know he must give a Gonski. We need supporters across the country to ring Malcolm Turnbull's office and leave a message for him about why he must deliver Gonski in full. Register and we will contact you with the number and some advice on making the call.
If you can't call, email the PM or join our tweetathon on Tuesday October 27 between 6.30pm and 9.30pm AEST when we are all going to tweet him. If you would like to tweet a picture of yourself with a message for Mr Turnbull you can download and print this sign.
Sign and share our Gonski petition, calling for the Federal Coalition not to abandon Gonski or our public schools
Sign up some friends and work colleagues. We will give new Gonski t-shirts to those who get the most people to sign up.
Organise a morning tea at your school to help raise awareness and get people involved in calling the Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull. Download a Gonski week poster for the noticeboard. Wear green. Bake a green cake!
