Gonski funding has made a real difference to schools across Australia, but NT students have missed out due to the previous NT Government’s failure to pass funding on to schools.
The election of the Gunner Government is a chance for our schools to finally get the investment they need, so students can benefit from more one-to-one support, smaller classes and extra programs.
But Malcolm Turnbull’s plan to cut Gonski funding means NT schools will lose $100 million in 2018 and 2019 alone.
Please join other Gonski supporters in phoning Chief Minister Gunner on Wednesday, November 23rd, to tell him how important properly funding our schools is for you.
The Gunner Government is yet to commit to supporting Gonski or to providing its share of the full six years of the Gonski agreements.
They need to hear from you that our schools and our students matter.
Politicians take notice when members of the public call, and every call will make a difference.
You don’t need to be a school funding expert. You just need to take a few minutes to tell your story, why Gonski is important to you, and let them know you expect the Gunner Government to stand up for our schools.
Click the button below to sign up, and prior to November 23rd we’ll send you details of how to call and some tips on what to say.
